U.S. TREASURY DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY, ROBERT DOHNER EMPHASIZES U.S. COMMITMENT TO SOUTHEAST ASIA

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) in Singapore arranged a media roundtable for Treasury Department Deputy Assistant Secretary Robert Dohner on July 20.  DAS Dohner discussed the U.S. commitment to SE Asia and to the regional economies, touched on the tremendous economic benefits resulting from the U.S.-Singapore Free Trade Agreement, explained U.S. goals for the upcoming APEC Summit, and concluded with comments (to questions) on the Chinese yuan's appreciation in the last few weeks.
