Mr. Colvin met a broad spectrum of people from the education-related field during his visit to Singapore, ranging from government officers involved in early childhood education to teacher trainers. He also met academics interested in fostering greater exchanges between Singapore and American students. Mr. Colvin conducted training sessions for journalists on the education beat at the two major media organizations in Singapore. He also reached out to Malay-Muslim organizations about the American educational response to globalization and early childhood education.
