TOPIC: The U.S. Visa Application Process for Students

Discussion Date: Tuesday, April 17, 2007 (4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

If you are enrolling in the United States as a full-time student in a program that leads to a degree, you will need to apply for a student visa. Like most student visa applicants, you probably have a number of questions about this process, including:

  • What are the different kinds of student visas? Which one will I
    need?
  • When should I apply?
  • What are the requirements for getting a student visa?
  • What documents will I need?

If you have questions like these, please join us on Tuesday, April 17, for a web chat hosted by the U.S. Embassy, Singapore. Vice Consuls John Groch and Mark Zimmer will be on hand to answer your questions about applying for a visa to study in the U.S.
