U.S. Air Force Band

The U.S. Air Force band "Final Approach" delighted more than 150 Singaporean youth with its performance February 26, 2006, at the Jurong Regional Library. The Band's performance of top-quality American jazz, rock, country, and other popular music was a triumph of American cultural diplomacy. Earlier in the week, the band performed to enthusiastic audiences at the Singapore American School, at a public shopping center outside the core city area, and at a Malay/Muslim charity home for more than 250 orphans, teens, and senior citizens. At each spirited performance, Singaporean listeners danced in the aisles to familiar and new-to-them American music.
