October 26, 2009 The U.S. Embassy sponsored the visit of American comic writer, Mark Waid, who shared his experiences as comic book writer at the National Library on October 26th. He provided useful perspectives on American comics industry and participated in a lively question-and-answer session.
Daniel Pearl World Music Days: "Harmony for Humanity"
October 3, 2009 The U.S. Embassy sponsored a free concert in conjunction with the 8th Annual Daniel Pearl World Music Days. This event, held in memory of the late Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, spanned a wide range of musical genres from ethnic music and choral ensemble to percussion, hip hop dance and belly-dancing.

The attendees included senior representatives from Malay/Muslim community organizations, diplomats from Muslim majority and recent participants in U.S. Government sponsored exchange programs.
