The American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (AmCham) has been awarded the International American Chamber Community Service Award by the US Chamber of Commerce’s Centre for Corporate Citizenship. The Award was presented to the US Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Ambassador Frank L. Lavin at a special dinner in Washington on December 2 attended by Secretary of Commerce Don Evans.
Ambassador Lavin said, "I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. I have always held that corporate citizenship is a fundamental requirement for U.S. companies that operate abroad. It has been gratifying to see AmCham Singapore's Corporate Community Day flourish over the past two years."
